News

This just in from Sheboygan.

We know that your organization has news-worthy events that everyone should know about. We also know that sometimes *cough* that news may stay on your website a little bit longer than you meant for it to stay (i.e. "We've Got a New Location" is a great story, but only if it isn't from 2004). It might be that you leave your news stories up longer so that more people see it, or it might be that you simply forgot how to take the information off of your website. Have no fear, the News page part in SiteWrench 4.0 is coming to the rescue (how's that for a headline?)!

Story Scheduling

No more 4 year old news articles laying around on your site! With the News page part, you can setup a Publish Date and an End Date for each individual story. Not only does this mean that you don't have old information on your website, it also means that you can work on and complete stories ahead of time and simply set the Publish Date to the appropriate time in the future.

Broadcast through RSS

It's easy for you to keep people in the know about your organization - allow them to subscribe to your News RSS Feed! This feature keeps people informed while also driving traffic back to your website. That's what we like to call a two-for-one deal.

Put Yourself Out There

Here's the thing... People that visit your website want to learn about who you are and what you do. No matter whether it's small or large, put your news out there! It's what people are looking for. After all, if you're trying to top the world's largest pillow fight, you're going to need a lot of people there, and the only way they'll know it's happening is if you tell them about it!
