Transitioning to 4.0
The process to transition your website to SiteWrench version 4.0 will be a manual and intentional one. We will follow a standard process for all of our clients and the time for completion will depend on our schedule and our current work load. Clients are added to the transition queue when they request it. The request to begin must come from the primary account contact. Once it is in our queue, it will proceed through these three stages:
1. Shell Migration Part 1
Our tech team creates the new shells (the shell is your site's design template) from your existing ones and adds the technical pieces necessary for it to function in the new system.
2. Shell Migration Part 2
Our design team works with all of the CSS, Flash and other display aspects of your site to make it look consistent between the old and new systems. They will also create the new H-tags necessary for text styling in SiteWrench v4.0.
*NOTE*
Many of our clients are using this time to have their website re-designed or at least to have us do a design refresh for them. We can update colors, text styles and many other parts of your website as well. Contact your account rep to have them give you a custom quote or
fill out this form and your rep will contact you.
3. Data and Content Migration
We have developed tools that allow us to push files and page content from your old website to your new SiteWrench v4.0 website. After we have moved your content you will need to review your content to be sure that everything transitioned correctly. You can make any changes to the content that are necessary and then we can make your new website live. Our tech team will also talk you through any details or special information regarding your old content in your new website.
